The short film uses real radio communications of the final run of Thrust SSC to commentate on the visuals I wish we could have seen in 1997.
I thoroughly recommend visiting the Thrust SSC website as its been kept in its original form since the record was broken. A walk down memory lane of HTML.
3Ds Max was used for all of the 3d modelling.
Substance Designer and Painter for the material creation.
Houdini was used for all animation and simulations.
Unreal was used as a sequencer and rendering, I learned an immense amount about Unreal along the way on this project.
Illustrator was also used to re-create all of the retro company logos.
